I have the same problem. People unlogged on to the entrance to the Home tab cause, as it disappears. The second problem is the lack of access to the articles of the items in the forum and input department, who is assigned to a record of published articles. I believe that both cases are closely related. -

Did you disable the CMS before the upgrade and have not re-enabled it? Can you post a link to your forums?Comment

Same Problem here (ProjectBay.net). Should one disable the CMS when upgrading from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4??

Reason: Plugin "Navbar: Insert CMS Navbar Entry" changed:
Code: if (can_see_cms()) { $template_hook['navtab_start'] .= vB_Template::create('vbcms_navbar_link')->render(); $template_hook['navbar_getnew_menu'] .= vB_Template::create('vbcms_navbar_whatsnew_link')->render(); }

o.k. as much as I can try, you have to set "[x]Edit Others' Content" for unregistered users...
Not really what I want, so I tried to remove above if in the Plugin..., but no effect...
(Since on our German Site this Bug was not reported, I started the same Thread there: Tab "Startseite" nach Update 4.0.3 -> 4.0.4 für Gäste verschwunden. At least one German User having the same Problem...)Last edited by BRotondi; Sun 20 Jun '10, 5:07am.ProjectBay.net – Project hosting and support.Comment

PL releases are only about security issues.
As workaround edit your home section (in your CMS frontend) and select a second section in "Sections to Display in Navbar Sub-Menu":

I had to search it also. It's right on your section-page after pressing "edit", not in the ACP. Adding an empty section did the workaround for me.
OT: Still trying to improve my English: Could I have written also "I had to search it either."? Better/worser/wrong/slang?ProjectBay.net – Project hosting and support.Comment
