[Forum] New reply notifications in notifications menu?

Is it possible, in vB4, to have notifications of new posts in subscribed threads and group discussions in the notifications box?
For some reason that is not possible in vB3.8.

I opened a support ticket with vB-Germany and they told me there's no such option. Stupid me, that would have been a very intelligent use of features and common sense. And we're talking vB4 here after all.
