[CMS] Widget Question - Forum sidebar block "Recent Threads" as widget

To recreate the forum sidebar block "recent threads" as a widget, can you somehow copy some (or most) of the block_threads template and create a CMS widget?

The "Recent Threads" forum block is much more informative, shows avatars (most of the time) and would make a more attractive widget than the provided "recent activity" widget.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Or would it be block_newposts?

Generally I think blocks are so much easier than widgets to work width, so it would be great if you could use the block in the CMS.

You just copy the contents out of one template, post them over the other, and you should get the same result. If not, you can hack the specific aspects you want into the CMS block template being called.

Create a display thread template for the CMS and insert the relevant forum block aspects that you want shown / classes for layout, or create your own classes and layout in additional.css

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
        Working...
