[CMS] Widget location within the VB folders on server?

I need to install a little bit of jarvascript to help a html widget function. The javascript needs to be in the same folder the widget script sits. Where is this?

Most widgets don't actually have files. They are stored in the cms_widget and cms_widgetconfig database tables. If this is a custom widget you downloaded from somewhere, ask the author where you should put the file.

Its one I've done myself. I put the script in the forum root and it works fine

We put javascript files in /clientscript. You can put yours wherever you like, as you have discovered.
