[Forum] URL problems

Hi everyone. Recently i decided to upgrade my vb 3.8.4 to vb 4.0.2. All installation went ok,but again that annoying friendly urls caused me lots of problems.I accessed my forum page normaly but when i tried to enter any forums it redirects me to error page The page isn't redirecting properly.I noticed mu url was like http://mysite.com/forums/2-вопросы ,my site is in Russian. From admin panel i chose no to use friendly urls but it still does the same thing. Why things are made so difficult and annoying for non-english users? how Do we have to wait till vb team solves that url and utf-8 problem , at least why we are not allowed to use simple urls? i'm really sick of waiting, can't run that vb

why can't you use the default url?
eg
showthread.php?=4123

i had a similar issue cause i am using vbseo. once i upgraded it to the version for vb4 all was well.

well it seems like we have to use another plugin to solve the ussue? why can't we just disable using friendly urls? i tried to do that but it didn't work out

did you disable all mods etc before upgrade?
