Is there a way to export the CMS data from a development database and restore to active site.
CMS Export/Import

If you export all the tables that start cms_ you will have a working CMS. There are five issues I know of:
- If the userid of the author on the live site is different from the id on the dev site you should run an sql query to fix.
- Attachments in the database won't come across. If they are in the file system you should be able to copy them. I have not tested this- I encourage you to do so with a small test.
- You will need to reindex after the move.
- Any template edits or phrases will need to be moved separately. You can export phrases and templates from dev and re-import into live site.
- You will lose comments. The comments threads should be automatically recreated. Please test and verify.
Please- I'm not tech support. Don't send your problem reports to me unless I've asked you to. -
It would be SWEET if this was more of an automated process (export out into a file for import). I could move all my web pages into CMS articles in my test site, export them.....upgrade my 3.8.4 site and import the articles. 8)
As it is now, there will be a ton of copy / pasting going on once I go live. LOLComment

I'm not sure what the issue is. I've done this now several times. If you have a test site I can look at and would like me to do so, PM me with a login. I will need some way to look at/run queries against the raw database.Please- I'm not tech support. Don't send your problem reports to me unless I've asked you to.Comment
