    [Forum] Chinese character shown in messy Code in vB 4.0.2

    Version: vB 4.0.2

    Messy code is the biggest nut for me, because the first language of my website is Chinese. I find Chinese characters shown in messy code in many area.

            I have the same problem!

            This is my site's info:
            • Version: 4.2.2
            • mysql type: mysqli
            • php: 5.4.3
            • mysql: 5.5
            • mysql DB Collation: utf8_general_ci

            And i done follow:

            ACP -> Languages & Phrases -> Language Manager -> Language -> Chinese (CN) -> [Edit Settings] -> Language Code ->zh

            ACP -> Languages & Phrases -> Language Manager -> Language -> Chinese (CN) -> [Edit Settings] -> HTML Character Set -> utf-8

            and this is my pictures of problem




            The answer from vb.com is : we do not support Chinese character.
            So, only search help from local vb fans.
            i don't think this is the correct answer!
