[CMS] New article are not diplaying in my front page

When I create a new article and put it under the proper sections the new article itself is not showing up under the main front page as an article preview. If you click on the sections that the article was posted in the article appears in there, but just not on the front page.

Could this have something to do with the time VB is set at: I posted the article at 10:30 am pacific time, and the article under the sections page says it was posted at 6:30 pm. But it still does not appear on the front page of the site.

Could this also have something to do with not posting the article under the main Admin that i first installed VB with? I want to keep that log-in as a default fail-safe log-in, but created two new admin log-ins to access the control panel and post on the forum under.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Make sure your main page is set to include sub-section content.

Had the same problem. Thanks to that thread, I solved it! Thanks, too.

OK. I'm stumped. How does one do this? I've gone through everything I can think of in the ACP CMS manager, and I am having no luck finding such an option.

Go to the front page, click on the edit pencil, under "content from" click on include-sub-sections.

GAH! Dear Lord, thank you! I would never have found that on my own.

We REALLY need an instruction manual for this stuff beyond those few "read me first" articles.

That also seems to be the only place you can set "display per page" too. Can't change it in the ACP Sections manager. Does not seem to work with more than 10, fine for now.
