    [CMS] CMS Permissions

OK, I can't get my head around this idea right now. I installed vBulletin v4.0.2 today. I got content, etc. I log out to check it out as a guest... It's a no permission error. I log back in, set the upper most section ("home") to allow every group to read the section. Save. Log out. Same error message.

What am I doing wrong? Are there hidden permissions somewhere?

Edit the 'Home' section (or whatever you've named it to) and change this setting to 'Yes' - 'Show on Section Widget'
    Vote for:

    - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

Unfortunately, that is checked. But it doesn't show under "Sections" either...?

Any ideas? I really need this to work, and it's failing miserably... =/

          Are your sections all published?

Ok. It was a "publishing" issue. For some reason, it was set to publish on February 27th, 2010. No idea HOW on earth that got in there, or why, because I never touched the dates. Thanks Zach. Still doesn't show in the section widget tho...

Can you show me a screen shot of what is happening and highlight what you expect to be happening? Just to make sure we're on the same page.

Explained in screenshot. Basically, the "Home" section doesn't display in my navigation...

Home is the root node, its not intended to be displayed. You can see this here on the vbulletin.com site.

Dumb. LOL. Now, I can't get attachments to want to work correctly. *hits head on wall* I've never had vBulletin hate me this much... I need to upload .pdf into CMS articles, mainly as it's going to be the only easy way for the group that owns the site to upload newsletters. I upped the limit from 2 MB to 10 MB, just to be safe. Yet, vBulletin keeps rejecting everything that's above 2MB. Thoughts on this?

Can you post a screen shot or give me the exact error as to why?

Would access be easier for you? I'll make a quick video tho. Showing settings, uploading, etc.

                        Video:

Showing limit as 10mb (in bytes). Goes to an article. Goes to add an Attachment, of size 2.4 MB (you can see it in the upload window). Shows the "error" message.

I'd ask that you start a ticket at that point if I need access.

Try clearing your cache, it might be cached on some level. Also you can try editing and resaving the attachment permissions.
