[CMS] Can you specify which articles are shown on the homepage?

I carefully reviewed the guides like this:

However, I don't recall seeing anything about which articles are shown on the homepage. I don't want to show the most recent articles, but rather articles that I specify on the homepage. Is this possible or does it only show the most recent?

Also while I'm at it, I have a question about comments on articles. Can I have some articles allow comments and others not?

When going to Home > hover over section name > click on pencil... you may set the Display Order to Manual instead of by date. Then you select the articles and number them in the bottom of that window.
