[Blog] Error in blog posting: tag limit exceeded

my tag limits are in check, i even disabled it at one point.

when i post as an administrator i can tag as many as the limit permits

when i post as a regular user it says: You may add 5 tag(s) to this entry. and this is what is inside the field form: offense, scout, steel, capture point

but it returns an error: The number of tags you tried to add exceeded the maximum number of tags by 2.

is anybody else experiencing this bug?

this is proving to be a very big hassle for me, since it's limiting my ability to tag properly. I can only put 2 tags on each post as a regular user. and this is no matter wat the settings are.

I just installed vb 4.0.5 - I've got the same error with 3 entries, exceeding the number by two. Has this even been reported?

Standard text - words like "window", "glass", "house" and that's it.

That's funny. I only added five tags.

With four tags I get this

And as I try to type this in the box here, the italics doesn't work for the second error message I'm posting.

This issues was linked to the categories that a Blog was assigned to also. Have you assigned categories to your Blog entry?

Hi,

I have 4.1.1 and I have this problem. The blog has no categories assigned to.

Update:

Although the setting was: Maximum Tags Applied by Entry Author:10

And the other: Maximum Tags Applied by Other Users: 5

The Blog Author could not add more than 5 tags.
