In the FORUMHOME template just delete this lines for hiding the button
<a id="sidebar_button_link" href="#">
<vb:if condition="$vboptions['sidebarposition'] == 0">
<img id="sidebar_button" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/tab-collapsed-left.png" alt="" />
<vb:else />
<img id="sidebar_button" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/tab-collapsed.png" alt="" />
</vb:if>
</a>Comment

I need to temporarily add these back in for an update, then I'll delete these again. Can you tell me where these lines went in the first place?
Thanks.Comment

Hi guys !
i tested this modifications and that work perfectly !!
just a little issue, for the members who collapsed the sidebar before i disactivated the sidebar DOES NOT SEE THE SIDEBAR BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A BIG GAP IN THE RIGHT PART OF MY FORUM !!
can i set the sidebar to be shown for all the members in the data base for example ?

There's a much simpler way that involves adding "display:none" somewhere. I can't remember where it is but I'll try and find out tonight.MARK.B

Why isn't there an option to disable this by now? Why would I want to give my users the ability to ignore ads or whatever else I want to put in the sidebar?
Also, the sidebar button deforms the header which is another reason why I don't want this. I spend all my time making the forum look right only to get ruined by this button. a simple on off option for the button should have been included on day one.Comment
