[Forum] Adding and changing Navigation Tabs

Ok, I couldn't find any posts about this, I was curious if it's possible to add new Tabs to the navigation tab and if so, how is it done, and if you have to have the vbsuite to do it or can you do it with just the normal version, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

You would have to edit templates to add new tabs. This is the same on the Suite or Classic. That are several free hacks available on vBulletin.org that will take the hassle of add tabs manually, but are not a complete solution, but are a lot easier than editing templates if you have no idea on how to add extra xhtml.

editing the templates wouldn't be an issue, what template exactly would I need to edit to add tabs manually?

Jim: I used a plugin called vBH New Tabs at vB.org. Works like a charm.

Yes, that's what im using right now, but it doesn't allow me to place the new tabs in the order I want them, they are all either left, center, or the right and being able to add new tabs through the template would give me more control

            Hi Jim,

You will have to edit the navbar template to do what you want.

            Regards,

I opened up the nav bar template and did a search for the excisting tabs and nothing came up so Im not sure if im looking in the right spot or not, is it possible you could post a screen shot of where I should be looking as i cannot find it in any of the templates under Navigation which include, navbar, navbar_link, navbar_noticebit, and navbar_notifications_menubit

I'm also looking to change up the nav bar "tabs" in the default vb 4.0.1 install. I have looked high and low and cant locate where to change the tabs.
