[Forum] How to Disable Calendar in version 4.x

    How can Disable Calendar?

I see how to in 3.x here
    But what about 4.x
the code seems to have changed.

Just get rid of this ?

    Code:
    <li><a href="calendar.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase calendar}</a></li>
                        {vb:raw template_hook.navbar_after_calendar}

I read removing this .. gets rid of the FAQ in the navbar.

    <li><a rel="help" href="faq.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase faq}</a></li>

    So removing this

    <li><a href="calendar.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase calendar}</a></li>

Got rid of the Calendar link.

Deleting the Calendar in AdminCP > Calendars > Calendar Manager disables the calendar function but yes, you will need to manually remove the FAQ link.

Might be worth posting a suggestion regarding doing a check for a valid calendar before displaying that menu option.

Seems quite odd for a CMS that I disable the Calendar, but the link for the Calendar remains.
Template edits to get rid of the Calendar link make the CMS feel a bit Mickey Mousey.

Interested in doing exactly what is being discussed in this thread however the code mentioned above is not in the navbar template on ours. We are using vBulletin 4.2.0 Patch Level 2, has something changed up to this version?

Settings > Navigation Manager > Click on the Forum Link > Uncheck the active tab next to the calendar link, and save.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
