A lot of members are telling me that when they login to my forum that it goes back as if there are a guest and then when they click on a forum. Then it shows them logged in. Some of the smarter PC savy members notice this, but a lot who see that they aren't logged in just leave the forum. I am losing a lot of traffic because of this. Some are also saying it takes them to the invalid password screen. Is this a common problem?

This issue has been brought multiple times over the past days and weeks. I am not sure if a solution has been provided, and personally, I wish management would say a word or two in their announcement section in this regard.Comment

Just gone through Bug tracker and can't see it being raised in there based on version number 4.0.1.
If it's there already, can you update it and mark it as reproduced.Comment

This setting controls the path scope of your forum cookies. If you have multiple cookies interacting on your site, then it may be necessary to restrict the scope of your forum cookies.
If you want your forum cookie to work in every directory on your site, then use "/" for the path (no quotes). This means your forum cookie will work at "yoursite.com/forum", "yoursite.com/contact", and any other directory. You might need your forum cookie to work in any directory if you have external scripts that tie into vBulletin, like portals or other external pages.
If you want your forum cookie to work in a single directory (your forum directory), then use "/forum/" (insert the name of your forum directory). The path should always start and end with a "/".Comment
