      I don't think it's on their priority radar at all.

        We are having the same problem too - specifically with IE8 with these kinds of logging in issues.

            Go into your config.php file and change the cookie prefix from bb to vb and save. This will log everyone out once and if people have corrupted cookies should address the issue.

              Should I change it back to bb after I do that?

              I ask because in the config.php I always see:

              // Prefix that all vBulletin cookies will have
              // Keep this short and only use numbers and letters, i.e. 1-9 and a-Z
              $config['Misc']['cookieprefix'] = 'bb';

              So I don't know if that's relevant that it should stay bb or if the software changes the config file or something.

                Heeeeeeeeelp!

                I'm a new forum and taking a beating! We've already started promoting, driving traffic, and telling people we are open for business.

                    • Care to share what this does exactly?
                    • Do we need to change it back to bb?
                    Hopefully it works

                      I was having the same problem as the rest of you with version 4.0.1. What I ended up doing to correct the probem was to go to my admin room to Cookies and HTTP Headers Options and changed the path of my cookies to my forum nume /forums/ and then changed my Cookie Domain to to a custom setting of my webpage address. (make sure the period is in front) .webpagemame.com make sure it has the period in front or it will screw up your forums.

                      It has worked so far.

                          It forces everyones cookies to invalidate. Then they souldnt have cookie issues

                              It didnt work for me, I have just discovered my site keeps switching between www.bblogic.com and bblogic.com and when it does it logs users out. Why is this only happening for me since v4.0.1 and how do I resolve this problem?

                                What's your setting in AdminCP > Options > Settings > Cookies and HTTP Header Options > Cookie Domain?
