Issue 3.) When people post in topic threads, there's a huge whitespace between their post and their auto-signature. How do I fix this?

Link? There isn't a huge whitespace here, so it would be nice to see what is going on on your forum.

Ronan's car. LOL
Anyway, it looks to me like you are using the postbit_legacy template or the postbit.css from the last RC. You should revert them.

Personally, no. But I know of him. (We have an Exige and had an Elise prior to it.)
Try this:
Create a new style with no parent:
- Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
- Parent Style: No Parent Style
- Title: Default vBulletin
- Allow User Selection: Yes
- Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

I'm having the same problem, and did as you said Lynne; still having the issue. See all the short replies to this thread -- one would think this would be made to be a bit tighter:

You know, I just looked again at my test suite forum and that is the way it is. (I was looking before at my other test site and forgot I have not upgraded it to Gold yet).
Try this and see if you like it better:
Code:.postbitlegacy .after_content { clear:none; }

Either edit the class directly (Search in Templates for the class), or put that at the end of the .css template, or add it to your additional_css template.

Thanks - MUCH better IMO. I found it in postbit.css, and changed it from:
Code:.postbitlegacy .after_content { position: relative; width: 100%; clear:both; }
Code:.postbitlegacy .after_content { position: relative; width: 100%; clear:none; }

Hey Lynn,
How can I use the clear:none and still align the signature at the bottom? I use postbit_legacy and added this, but however now there is a gap below the signature on the one line post.
LOL I know I am trying to get the best of both worlds.
EDIT:
I almost have it with this code below
Code:.postbitlegacy .after_content { position:absolute; bottom:50px; clear:none; }

Don't forget that the info that shows up under the username and whatnot can push that box down. You can probably remove the "extra" space, but as long as the userinfo is there it will push the actual message space down or if you restrict that, it will push the area beneath the signature. You would have to remove some of the userinfo or remove the spacing between each line.
Perhaps you already figured that, I'm just trying to add some food for thought.
