[CMS] large pictures

Isnt there a default feature for resizing large pictures in the cms ? When adding a post to the cms large pictures pushes the sidebar over and out of the content cointainer. Isnt there any default feature for picture resizing at all ?

Yes.
Upload the images with Insert image instead of manage attachments.
Then hover over the thumbnail of the image in the WYSIWYG editor. Click on the pencil. There select what size image you want. Probably medium or large instead of full size.

When you use manage attachments add the =CONFIG to the opening ATTACH BB-tag.
