    [CMS] when click the home button, i get an error

    hi there
    1) i have just installed vb4 and before that i have disabled all my mods and cmps vbadvanced.
    when i click HOME, i get the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function query_first() on a non-object in /home/*****/public_html/forums/packages/vbcms/controller/content.php(82) : eval()'d code on line 2
    2) My second problem is that when on forum page, all the forums are visible but when we click on either forum it gives an error that you have clicked an invalid forum and you should contact the admin.
    whereas, if i clikc on the latest thread, it takes me to the thread. what could be the problem?

    how should i cure it?
    i would like me CMS to be redirected when click HOME.

    please help

    thank you

        The real problem is that when i type
        http://www.mysite.com
        it gives the following error:
        Fatal error: Call to undefined function print_portal_output() in /home/******/public_html/index.php on line 46

        similarly when http://www.mysite.com/forums/ is typed, it gives the following error:
        Fatal error: Call to a member function query_first() on a non-object in /home/*******/public_html/forums/packages/vbcms/controller/content.php(82) : eval()'d code on line 2

        similarly my HOME (CMS) is not accessible. when the HOME button is clicked, i get this error:
        Fatal error: Call to a member function query_first() on a non-object in /home/*******/public_html/forums/packages/vbcms/controller/content.php(82) : eval()'d code on line 2

        Please i really need urgent help cause all my users and i are having problems with this.

        regards

            is this happening after you applied the vb4 patch.

            Have you tried uploading all vb files again and running the upgrade script.

            Make sure you have disabled addons if you have any installed

              Disable all your plugins/products except the Blog and CMS. And when I say disable them ALL, I mean all the products on the Manage Products page (except the Blog and CMS products) AND all the plugins in the Plugin Manager (except those associated with the Blog and CMS). You must do BOTH (I can't emphasize that enough). Now see if you still have the same problem.

              Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

                I have this exact same error msg currently on my site.

                I have only two plug ins enabled...BLOG and CMS. Nothing else. I'd love to be able to see what the CMS even is.

                      Holy cow.

                      So had ONE other "plug in" active, but it's not something I added to my 3.8 version (or here). It was the "Forum Stats, Total Online, Get Newest Member Name" plug in.

                      I disabled that and the CMS shows now...

                      Is there some logical reason that 4.0 did not "upgrade" that when I ran the script?

                        Because it's not vB software - it's a plugin from a 3rd party programmer...

                          I'm not so sure about that. I don't recall installing it, and I have/had VERY few add-ons on my board. But if you say so.

                            The only plugin/product that vB has ever released was the Blogs and now the CMS.

                              vbcms isn't a vbulletin product.
