My question is, has anyone actually managed to get this working properly?
So far I can get the site to generate the site maps:
vbulletin_sitemap_forum_0_70.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_index.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_thread_1_30000.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_thread_2_30000.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_thread_3_30000.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_thread_4_30000.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_thread_5_30000.xml.gz
vbulletin_sitemap_thread_6_4225.xml.gz
So far, so good...
So, I then submitted the xmlsitemap.php file - this gives the error: Your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap.
I then tried submitting the ./sitemap/vbulletin_sitemap_index.xml.gz file - this gives the error: We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.
I've added a robots.txt file to the root directory specifying /. for all, but this hasn't made any difference.
So, back to the first question is it actually possible to get this working, or do I need to a) wait for a bug fix or b) try and get a beta of vbseo sitemap 2.6
Any help/thoughts/etc... greatly appreciated!
Dave.
