No we use just the short code like :happy: as an example or : )
If we then post our message they are visible.
Also in the control panel i can see them.
The only two places we can't see them is in the smilieblock en dropdown menu in the quick editor and the advanced editorComment

So the domain is there twice.
How do i solve this?
When i click on 'more' in the smilie block and right click it's the normal location.Comment

Lets check your image paths AdminCP> Style Manger > Style > Style Vars > Image Paths
Make sure theyre correct.Comment

AdminCP > Settings > Options > Site Name/URL/Contact Details
Your forum path set correctly?
Only problem would be the acutaly smiley path.Comment

this is a bug ,
u cant see smilies in the smlie blook nor in the drop down menu ,
u can wait for 4.0.1 , or u can apply the quick fix for this issue that freddie has posted :

I added some more smiles to the Generic Smilies Catagory via AdminCP > Smilies > Add New Smilie but they do not display in the advanced post editor.
