Hi all,
I must say I'm quite shocked that 4.0 has gone to Gold with some of its most visible and problematic bugs unaddressed, often since bug reports back from the initial public betas. We all expect bugs in new software, even at the Gold stage; but some of these are so fundamental and have been the subject of bug reports on the Projects system for ample time - it's shocking that the company would have decided to go ahead with Gold without addressing them. For example:
To name a few -- these are serious issues of functionality and basic design.
Our involvement in the beta programme was at least on the assumption that we were working towards a Gold that had most foundational elements functioning properly -- but this clearly isn't the case. In developing release timelines for our own web sites and forums, the thought was that we would await Gold Release before planning to move development testing versions over to live sites; but clearly the Gold Release still doesn't have all its basic functionality sorted.
Can we have an update on the timeline for a usable, stable release that involves all basic functionality working properly (obvious style and tweaking bugs notwithstanding) -- but basic issues of all parts (CMS, forums, profiling, templating) working at a stable level? 4.0.0 Gold clearly isn't fully functional in this sense.

For example:
- CMS cannot display customisations on home page
- The tab ordering on editor interfaces is incorrect and jumps over the editor field
- The page navigation system doesn't display accurately on any browser, despite being one of the most often-used an visible parts of a vB setup
- Double-click-to-reply continues not to work as designed
- The UserCP settings area cannot be customised for colour/style settings due to a CSS nesting error
- The 'Notifications' drop-down menu doesn't display correctly
- Profile screens don't border correctly
To name a few -- these are serious issues of functionality and basic design.
