[Forum] Xmlsitemap.php ! Sitemap Not working.

    Hello ,

i had the same issue and the exact same problem with rc4 , that google doesnt recognize the sitemap xml file , i tried to check the file my self , it doesnt contain any url !

i saved it on my desktop , its size is 0 Bytes !

    i checked the folder , i gave it 777 permision ,

    whats wrong with it ??

    thats what "google" says :
    Empty Sitemap
Your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap.

how can i fix this issue?

It's a bit dissapointing, especially for me, since I've posted about this numerous times in the bugs area and beta area. It's been listed as a High Priority fix, yet it still remains broke. I've opened up a support ticket, will post here when I hear back.

I wish someone from VB would write a "How to" for this... (like they've done for the other section, Skinning your Forum in 10 easy steps".)

this is supposed to be easy for every one ,

just make a new folder in the forum root directory , give it 777 permissions ,

put the name of that folder in admincp>>options>>xmlsitemap ,

                      and Thats it !

but the problem that even if u followed these steps and done everything correctly ,

the sitemap file doesnt contain any url's ,

so this is a bug , and its supposed to be fixed before vb 4.0 Gold is released.

this is a serious problem !

Even with the smilie at the end of your post, I take exception to that comment. Even though I have slated this current release, they have done a lot of good things over the years, otherwise they wouldn't be here right now.

the error comes from the .htaccess if this is on my server the sitemap shows in google an error. if i delete the .htaccess it works.
the next what i have learned, if i have the .htaccess on my server: Most of the Google-Bots go to "Wolpath" , if i delete the .htaccess the Bots crawl the Forumthreads.

Here is a big Bug. When comes a fix for this?

I'm also hoping for a fix on this. Still no answers in the Bug reports.
