[Suite] Had to skip step 18 in the blog upgrade during 4.2.5 upgrade

The step 18 blog error happened to me late last night while I was trying to upgrade to 4.2.5.

I was following this thread: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...-upgrade-error

However, the blog was enabled for me (it always is), so I could not figure out how to get it working and I had to finish the upgrade because it was taking hours. Anyway, I ended up commenting out step 18 to get through it. Can I manually do this step with a query? Is it even necessary?

Can you please try running the upgrade again?
I would download a fresh copy of the files and upload these to the server to rule out a corrupt file.
If it errors again, please refresh the page and see if it carries on. Repeat that several times if necessary.

I did retry it maybe a dozen times and the file wasn't corrupted either. The blog itself product was enabled, but now I remember I had one of its plugins disabled. It's the plugin that adds the user's blog count to the postbit, which I just remembered because it's always re-enabled when vB updates and I have to remove it again. Could it have been this plugin being disabled (even though it enabled itself anyway)?

Also, since the upgrade to 4.2.5 finished (I just commented step 18 out of the includes file), is it possible to rerun it all again without undoing everything else?

I tried to figure out what step 18 does exactly, and it looks like it's something with the blog entry IP addresses. Nothing related to this seems broken on the forum, so I was wondering if it would be safe to skip it anyway. I don't mind some blog entries not having an IP linked to them if that's all it is. But if it's something more serious, then I guess I should try to rerun it or add them with SQL.

Upgrade steps are not generally added just for the fun of it so yes, you should run it.

If the blogs are properly enabled, it will run, just restore what you incorrectly commented out, and run the upgrader.

How can it run again if it's already been upgraded?
