Hello, I'm having the same problem when upgrading from 4.2.3 Patch Level 2 to 4.2.4:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in /home/b4wit/public_html/forum/includes/functions_misc.php on line 759

do you think it can be a PHP version issue? What PHP version are you using?

As others have mentioned this looks to be a php versioning issue.

Please check your php version....for 4.2.4 it MUST be either 5.5 or 5.6.

Can you try re-downloading the ZIP file from the Members Area and re-upload all files (except install/install.php and includes/config.php.new) making sure you overwrite all files currently on your server.

              Does this resolve the problem?
              Vote for:

              - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
              - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)
