I am not sure how to describe this so I am posting screenshots.
I have seen this problem described a few times but the questions seem to be met with confusion when someone tries to answer, and the suggestions do not address my particular issue.
First, my site's top nav and sub-nav items look pretty, but when you click on them, they do not work they way I want. (Please see Images 1 - 3 for details.)
Next, in the front end editor, I attempt to choose the correct section for the static page but the system does not allow my chosen section, instead it forces it back to it's own (in this case, named "Latest", but serves as "Home"). (See image 4)
Finally, I need to create a new section that is a parent section, not a sub-section. (Please see Image 5) Can I do this, and if so, how?
