    Install CMS?

    Hi, couple of questions please.

I am currently on 4.2.2 with Vbadvanced installed. I would to move over to the vb4 CMS instead.

    1. Can I install vb4 CMS with vbadvanced still installed? Reason I ask is I would like to be able to switch between the two whilst setting them up as similarly as possible during the transition to CMS, before I make the CMS live.
    2. How do I install vb4 CMS? Do I jut run an upgrade script?

    Thank You.

The account you're posting with does not have a vBulletin 4 license, only a vB3 one...so you shouldn't be running 4.2.2 on that license.

It's possible you have another unlinked license, if so then if the CMS is not already there, that license may be a 'forum only' license. If so, your only option for gaining the vB4 CMS will be to upgrade your license to a vB5 license...you can then download 4.2.3 with the CMS, and run the upgrade script.

I cannot advise more precisely because I cannot see your vB4 license.

Yes, apologies, it is on a different email address/account.

How do I tell if it is a "forum only" licence? This is what I see in the customer area:

      Thank You.

Your license in the image is Forum Only.

        CMS licenses appear as follows:

        Active
        vBulletin 4.x Publishing Suite

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
          Working...
