I have 4.1.10 VBulletin Need Upgrade

I have downloaded the new 4.2.3 but I see no place where instructions are on how to upgrade.

Also is this upgrade Stable ? I seen some issues posted on the forum so I ask.

I currently have a few errors on my forum like the blog gives this error:

    Code:
Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2769

Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2783

Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2769

Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2783

Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2769

Warning: Illegal string offset 'link' in [path]/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2783
Is this because my server now uses php5.4 and will the new update 4.2.3 correct this ?

    Hello

    The upgrade instructions are here:

Those messages are php warnings, if you're running php 5.4 then you need to upgrade to 4.2.3.

Ok im confused because it talks about an install folder which I do not have and it gives a link to http://www.yourdomain.com/pathtoforu...ll/upgrade.php. Which does not exist. In other words I have no install/upgrade.php file

Never mind my install folder is named something else.. Which may be due to the fact that originally I upgraded to vb 4 from one of those free forum scripts.
