[Forum] What version of PHP does 4.2.3 beta4 require?

While trying to upgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3 I on a server running PHP 5.3.29 am getting the following:

Due to the following errors, the install/upgrade can not continue:
    • This version of vBulletin requires PHP version 5.3 or greater. Your PHP is version 5.3.29, please ask your host to upgrade.

Clearly this message does not make any sense because 5.3.29 is "5.3 or greater".

Is this a typo? Does it actually require PHP 5.4 or 5.5?

    Please advise. Thanks.

I think it means 5.3.7 anyway all 5.3 versions of PHP are end of life and no longer supported. 4.2.3 ideally will run PHP 5.5 but you should upgrade to PHP 5.4 at least

It looks like the error phrase wasn't updated, and the upgrade script is actually checking for php version 5.4 or greater. 5.4 is also what the download page says for minimum php version.
