Looking for upgrade docs

Sorry,

i'm looking for the upgrade documentation for an upgrade from 3.8 to 4.2. In the members area I can only find info about an upgrade to vb5. Can anybody out there help me?

The process is very similar.

Take a backup of the database and files.
Upload the new 4.2 files.
Run the upgrade script.

We always recommend upgrading a private test mirror of the site first.

Also be fully aware that in any major version upgrade (such as version 3 to version 4), you will lose all custom styles and add ons.
