    [Forum] vBulletin Installation freezes at step 2 (hostrocket)

    Every time when I go to install vB4, my installation freezes at Step 2 of 7. The exact error message I receive is:
    The server returned no response. This is probably due to a timeout setting. Please contact vBulletin Support for assistance
    The steps I attempted to do to fix are as follows:

    1) Redownload, upload, and attempt to install on server - receive same error

    2) Add the memory limit and max execution time to config.php - receive same error
    ini_set('memory_limit', -1);
    ini_set("max_execution_time", "2880");

    3) Change mysql packet size to 16mb - receive same error

    Any other suggestions? I encountered the same problem while trying to install vB5 connect. My host provider is HostRocket.

    What does the apache log say? What is your apache timeout set to?
