    Upgrading Vbulletin

    Hello
I want to upgrade my vb 4.1.x to 4.2.x, but I am worried to make any unexpected congestion happen in database such as some mods does not support the new vb etc. In that case, I want to ask the upgradation procedure. Should I just upload the new vb 4.2 files into server and then run the upgradation through installer.php or anything else I have to do. Also want to know if 4.2 need any special requirements on server and occupies more space than 4.1.x. Please advise. Many thanks.

The first and for most thing to do before you try to upgrade backup backup backup there is no excuse not making a backup. Then make a test install and see what needs to be adjusted. In the help section there is an how to what steps you should take to upgrade.
