[Suite] Rebuild Search Index with Open Forum

I'm upgrading from 3.8.7 to 4.2 (Suite). With more than 700,000 posts it'll take hours to rebuild my search index after the upgrade. Is it OK to let that run while my forum is open and active?

Here's what I would do to make it easier:

1. Turn your forum off for the night
2. Upgrade from 3.8.7 Patch Level 3 to 4.2.0 Patch Level 2
3. Turn your forum back on in the morning
4. Turn your forum off tomorrow night
5. Let it rebuild the search index while you sleep
6. Turn your forum back on on Tuesday morning

My concern is that while I'm sleeping I've got members from other parts of the world using the forum. I had it shut down for 7 hours last night and this morning doing the upgrade, and I'd hate to do that to my members 2 nights in a row if it's not necessary.

If it is necessary, if I shouldn't rebuild the index without the forum being shut down, that's fine. I can certainly do that. I'm just curious if it's necessary.
