    [Forum] Never had installation issues that couldnt be fixed with a refreash til 4.2

    ive been extremely lucky i guess...my problem happens early in the install. i enter my cust number, press begin install and im prompted to select yes or no if i would like to see options for clearing the existing Db. i select no and the install hangs at 1% constantly nagging me with the " would like to see options for clearing the existing Db ".
    refreashing, starting over....nothing works - its groundhog day on each attempt. please advise.

    thanks.

    If you're upgrading you should run upgrade.php, not install.php.

      thanks....i suspect its been too long since i last did this and dropped the ball. calling the install.php didnt work but it managed to generate this sql error preventing me from getting back to the forum

      Database error in vBulletin 4.1.12:
      Invalid SQL:
      SELECT *
      FROM navigation
      WHERE state & 4 = 0
      ORDER BY navtype, displayorder;
      MySQL Error : Table 'fullyclo_vbb.navigation' doesn't exist
      Error Number : 1146

      not sure how i corrupted anything since i answered no on the DB clearing options, the upgrade seems to be going well - thanks for the help....im thinking everything will fall into place once its complete

        There is no navigation table in 4.1.12. This is a feature added in 4.2.0. The error means you didn't complete the upgrade.php but have uploaded the 4.2.0 files.
