[Forum] using putty to make a backup and having some issues

i have always used putty and i have always used a notepad copy and paste method for my commands. lately when i try to make a backup of my site i use the mysqldump command and it asks for me to re-enter my password, it never done this before, after i re-enter my password it jsut drops the little green prompt one line and then nothing seems to happen.... any help on this?


ok i just did a restart of everything and now its doing ok.... thanks anyways fellas

If this occurs again, you need to contact your hosting provider. They are the only ones that can really help with command line issues like this. I am glad it started working again though.
