[Suite] What is the best software to compare files and see changes?

Is Beyond Compare the best solution for this or is there other software? Is there free software?

I'm on a Mac, and I use BBEdit to compare files/folders.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

                Yes.

Open both files, then --> Compare --> Compare.

If your on linux (Or mabye a mac?)
You could create a txt file called

diff1.txt - Put one of the text's into that, then create diff2.txt and put the other in that.

Then save them both, and run this command:

                      diff -Naur diff1.txt diff2.txt

it will then show the diffrences

I've been using DiffMerge as of late and so far, it does the job for me
