    [Suite] Database name changed

    Hello,

Like everybody else I have a little problem, my host changed something in the server and my backup of my database didn't worked ( they say because I change it into InnoDB). So the solution for that was to make another database ( different name ) and import into that the tables from an onlder backup. How should I proced to make my forum work again, I changed the name of the database in the /includes/config.php file but without any luck , so plese can you give some hints.

    Thanks!

Once you have successfully uploaded your DB backup in a NEW database, all you need to do is to put the new database name in config.php

Do you get any error or something?

I did a stupid mistake I wanted to try a test forum but i used the same database, now the cms works and the admin page, but the forum front page doesn't load is just white. And because i made that upgrade now in the main forum appears version 4.1.7 beta. What should I do? Can I make a downgrade back to 4.1.3. Thanks!

Can you go to admincp > diagnostics > suspect file version ?

Also, try uploading *ALL* files again. Then run the upgrade script again.

because your problem sounds like at least forum.php file has been uploaded with wrong encoding or something like that.

My main forum is in forum folder, and I uploaded the last version of vbulletin in test folder. My mistake was that the test forum used the same live database with the principal one, then I loaded the upgrade file from the test folder. I thought that only the database was changed and the files from forum folder are intact. All of this beeing apart of the problem with the changed name of the database
