[Suite] Install Forum and Blog in a Subdirectory independent, CMS in Root

    Greetings ^^

VBulletin Suite When installing, the structure is as follows:

    CMS: http://domain.com/forums/content.php
    Forum: http://domain.com/forums/forum.php
    Blogs: http://domain.com/forums/blog.php

But I do not like and I want to have it in separate directories
    Just for clarity:

    CMS: http://domain.com
    Forum: http://domain.com/forums
    Blogs: http://domain.com/blogs

And if it were possible that further work with subdomains
(If possible, but the important thing for me is the first)

    Forum: http://forum.domain.com
    Blog: http://blog.domain.com
    CMS: http://domain.com

I wish it so, since it is possible that future uninstall cms. leaving only forum and blogs.

Because I am interested in the future to integrate the Wordpress or Joomla CMS.

And I like that when you uninstall the cms, the root directory is kept clean, and that single vbulletin files are in folders, forum and blogs.

    As I can install this?

    Thanks

Second is possible by default, third is not.

    install the forums to domain.com/forums

Use the componet url settings for the blogs and the cms.

      install my default midominio.com/forums?
and I can put the contents of cms in the root directory of my site without problems?
cms content refers to the folder "do not upload"?

I think I understood, I will test on localhost.

      Thank you very much.

What help icon? I am also trying to create a separate blog and forum (www.domain.com/blog and www.domain.com/forum). I currently have my forum live successfully, however I can't find my blog software in order to move it. If I have to do that. I went to the blog section of the vBulletin manual but haven't found this yet. Help?

The help icon is the question mark to the right of most options in the Admin CP.

The forums and blogs will be dependent on the main installation but using the instructions above you can access them from a subdirectory.

Thanks for your help with this Wayne! I followed the instructions in the link you provided and it was really easy, though now when I got to my site link www.hersheyicecream.com/blog I get the following errors:

Warning: require_once(./global.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/hersheyi/public_html/blog/index.php on line 44

              Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php:/usr/share/pear') in /home2/hersheyi/public_html/blog/index.php on line 44

What can I do to fix this??

You did not set the full path in the vb_dir.php file correctly.

                try: /home2/hersheyi/public_html/forum

Thank you for your help Zach. I got this up and running correctly, however I wanted my forum and my blog to not be connected. Our forum is for private users only, and our blog is for public use (so anyone can view it). The way it currently works is when I go to www.hersheyicecream.com/blog I see all the links for my forum in the top menu panel. I do not want blog users to be able to access the forum. The blog will also have a different design/look.

Also, the forum is password protected and the blog needs to be completely open to the public.

                  Is this feasible?

This will require custom coding of the navbar to make some links viewable to certain usergroups, and others not. Please see here for more help on conditionals:
