[Forum] Failed to write css files

    Dear Support,

When I try to upgrade my forum in private VPS (trial & error hosting purpose) I have this problem :
    • Processing Skimlinks
    • An error has occurred. Please contact vBulletin Support for assistance.
      Module: skimlinks, Step 3 Error.
Failed to write css files. Please make sure that the directory 'clientscript/vbulletin_css' is writable.
So i go to my server using putty, here the screen of status of the folder.

    How to solve this problem?

    Thanks,

if you can access admincp set AdminCP->Settings->Options->Style & Language Settings->Store CSS Stylesheets as Files?->No then run the upgrade script again,
after upgrading your forums you can set it to yes again.

              www-data, 777

No, nothing security is running, because this is for testing purpose.

icafe, if you read the first post, you would note that folder is already 777, its in the picture.

akanage, i was asking about the "CLIENTSCRIPT" folder, not www-data

Please post up a copy or link to phpinfo or PM it to me so i can see what running, as its Ubuntu, i would like to see what they set up.

Here is the image larger, you can see permissions in the first column.

That said please try as Ali suggests.
