    prefix_vb4_foruminstallanswered_title_rich Three upgrade attempts, mess at the end...

    Hello,

    I tried thrice to upgrade a copy of my forum today, never managed to do it correctly...

    I ran the upgrade script by SSH, because with the GUI method it wasn't working (I always had an error in a step or another).

    The final result of my last upgrade is quite... special.

    How can I manage to have a normal forum ?

    Thank you for your answers.

    PS : my forum is running on vB3.8.7 and I downloaded the latest vB4.1.3 version to run the upgrade.

    Edit : oops... wrong section, I think... if a moderator would move this topic in the good one, thanks to him/her !

    Your final result is loading some 3.8.7 CSS instead of the vb4 css - are you trying to use a 3.x style ?

    /**
    * vBulletin 3.8.7 CSS
    * Style: 'La Couronne de Cuivre v3'; Style ID: 15
    */
    Also, have you got the correct forum paths defined in your vb options, that can cause this issue as well.
    Baby, I was born this way

      Thank you for your answer.

      Well, I don't know why I could have a 3.8.7 style, since I created a new default style AFTER the upgrade, and BEFORE, I deleted all customed styles...

      I think the part of the problem comes from vBSEO. As I said, I made a copy of my production forum (who's using vbSEO), and it seems all links on the main page of my newly upgraded forum link to the production forum (lacouronne instead of essaimigr).

      I checked the forum path, it is correct. So... is there a solution for my attempt ? Maybe I could install vBSEO on my upgraded forum ?

      Or is it a cookie issue that could be fixed in another way ?

      PS : please excuse my poor English

        The links on your site point to:

        The link you gave us points to:

        Update the following setting to ensure it's correct:

        AdminCP > Settings > Options > Site Name / URL / Contact Details > Forum URL
        Vote for:

        - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
        - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

          Wow... that was only that missing option that made me mad yesterday

          Many many thanks, Trevor. After updating the forum URL... all is in order, now. I get the default skin for vB4, and everything seems to work properly.

          Thank you once again !

          Is there a way to mark the thread as "resolved" ?
