[Forum] upgrading from 3.7 to 4 with some issues to solve

    Hi

when I bought vb 3.7 two years ago I replaced most of the vb images and gifts with my own images. for example the "reply to thread" (reply.gif) has a different image than the default one but with the same name.

so now I want to upgrade to vb 4 suite, is there going to be a problem?

    what should I do?

    thanx

You may find that some images have changed name since then. By following the above advice, you will find that you'll have some broken image links.

What I'd do is setup a test forum in the first instance (see link in my sig). Backup your custom images and upload all vB4 files to the test site and do the upgrade, then overwrite the images folder with your custom images. This will let you see on the test site, what images have changed so that you can alter your custom ones appropriately before upgrading your live site.
