    [Forum] Upgrade to 4.0.5???

    Hi,

I wanted to upgrade our forum to 4.0.5 but wanted to see if anyone have done this yet?

Any issues with this new version? Is it a lot better than 4.0.4?

    Thanks!

Many bug fixes including the upgrade script and titlelogo, amongst many others. I upgraded once vBulletin.com came back online earlier.

Maybe a silly question but I have the 4.0.4 version and just download the 4.0.5

      How I upgrade it?

Do I just upload the new files and overwrite them?... Do I have to upload the images too?

        I upgraded to 4.05 earlier

Upload ALL files, with exception of config.php and install.php

        when done, goto http://www.YOURSITEURL/install/upgrade.php

Always make a backup of database, and remember to turn forums OFF first

There are several posts giving more details on the upgrade process, but this is what worked for me.

Yes, It's amazing how quiet the board is in comparison to past releases of VB4.
              To be updated...

You don't need to upload images unless new or changed images were included, which they probably weren't. It probably won't hurt you to upload them any way just in case there are changes.

There is one new image in vB4.0.4 called tag.png which is in the CMS image folder

Many thanks, this is useful information. It would be much easier if this was made obvious in the update docs rather than having to look around the forums.

Are you serious? This q is just too much man. Start by reading the docs, ask questions later.

They must be breathing a sigh of relief. I've found no major bugs like when 4.0.4 came out and this place was buzzing for weeks
