Install problem:
This is a clean install to test vB4.
Forum is being installed @ http://mydomain.com/vb4
Index being http://mydomain.com/vb4/index.php
I go to http://mydomain.com/vb4/install/install.php
Steps 1-6 seem to go fine.
I move on to step 7 and it seems to be doing what it needs to do except the redirect does something odd.
It redirects me to:
Which of course generates a 404 because there is no random cgi-sys/ directory.
If I replace /cgi-sys/ with /vb4/install/ each of the next several parts of step 7 the install will complete. It only happens when it does an auto redirect, not when I have to click the "continue" button on prior or later steps.
Once installed, a few things will cause the main frame in the ACP to do the same thing, such as importing a new style, pretty much anything that tries to redirect you automatically.
The server has PHP v5.2.12 enabled on that account but the server default is PHP4.
A phpinfo output does in fact show the correct version on that account.
When PHP5 is enabled phpinfo states the API=CGI.
When phpinfo is loaded on a default setting account is states the API=apache.
Could this have something to do with the error and install issue?
Can I not have the server default be PHP4 and have the VirtualHost for my vB install account be set to PHP5?
Thank you.
