Ran the VB4 upgrade, and nothing happened.

    [Forum] Ran the VB4 upgrade, and nothing happened.

    I ran the upgrade package to go from vB3.8.4 v1 to the new vB4.0 suite release...modified the config.php file, closed the forum, uploaded the "upload" folder, overwrote the files, ran the 5 step script, and now my admincp still tells me I'm running 3.8.4 v1, and my board still displays its version as 3.8.4.

    What am I missing?

      If you only did 5 steps, you did not upload all of the 4.0 files. Also you don't need to do anything to the config file. Reupload the 4.0 files and re-run install/upgrade.php. If the xml files in the upper conrner don't say 4.0.0 you habven't uploaded them correctly.

          Got it.

          I uploaded the folder, where I should have simply uploaded the contents of the folder.

          It is now fixed, and working properly. Thank you kindly!
