[Suite] Loading in a test domain

Is it possible to install VB4 on a test domain but use the same database? I want to make sure that the transition goes smooth on my part. I am in the middle of a vital time that I cannot take a chance with the site going down.

My suggestion would be to back up your current DB, then create a separate DB and upload your back up to there. Basically cloning your live DB to a testing area. Just be sure that the site is not "active" and only your admin rights are used for testing.

I did that just recently to see how well the upgrade would go on vB4.0 RC4 and everything work out fine, (vB 3.8.3 to vB4.0 RC4). As far as a demo domain, I didn't use that opt, I just created a new directory on my server, copied everything over from my live site to a new directory and went on from there.

I just didn't want to chance on screwing up my live DB while trying to test out vB 4.0.
