Help Desk for vBulletin Forums - How to

I tried a few hacks from vB.org for this but ended up doing my own... well, it isn't even a hack really, just use of the existing vB features.

I thought I'd post this here in case users have not thought of this in the past.

    - Create a new forum called "Help Desk".
    - In the settings make it so admins (and mods if you wish) can see all posts in there.
    - Change users permissions to only view threads started by them.

Easy. Now you have a forum which to users only shows support questions they have asked. Staff see everything. Just close each thread when the support issue is resolved.

I've been using this on my forums for a while now and it is proving very successful, much more so than the hacks on vb.org, plus I don't have to worry about vb updates braking it!
