OK, it's fixed. I used the cPanel MultiPHP Manager to downgrade temporarily the PHP from PHP 7.2.16 to PHP 5.6.40 and I was able to install 3.8.11 without errors. I was doing some tests with 3.8.11 under PHP 7.2.16.Leave a comment:

Please Enter Your Customer Number
Hi,
I am trying to install vb3.8.11 on my website. It's a fresh install.
The install screen displays 'Please Enter Your Customer Number'.
I enter my customer number correctly many times, click Enter.
I see: Customer entered succesfully
redirecting ...
But the install stops there and returns to the initial screen 'Please Enter Your Customer Number'.
It worked well yesterday on the same website in the same directory. Same issue in an another directory on the same domain. No issue on another domain (I have two licenses) with the same customer number.
Edit: I am on Cpanel.
Im not sure that is related with the following error:
[20-Mar-2019 20:28:26 UTC] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/test/install/init.php:114) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/test/install/authenticate.php on line 55
