Possible to disable Date of Birth completely?

I have instructions not to store date of birth in my forum database. I have set "Require Date of Birth" to "No"

But I notice that occasionally, some users manage to fill in their birth dates at registration.

    How is this possible?

Is there a way to prevent saving of the birth date entirely?

    Thanks

Require Date of Birth means that it's not required but user's can fill it in if they wish, it's not "Don't ask for Date of Birth".

To stop it being used, you will need to edit the templates and remove that field completely. To find which template you need to change, enable the following setting:

AdminCP > Settings > Options > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments

After enabling this, refresh the page you're on and view the source code - the start and finish point of each template will then be marked in the source code.

      Hi Trevor,

After turning off the "Require Date of Birth" option, I no longer see the birth date field at the registration page nor in the modify profile page.

Are there other pages where the user may enter their birth date?
