There is a server problem there.
Your hosts should assist if it is a managed hosting service.

If it's unmanaged then it will normally be for you to sort out yourself, though I'd expect a decent unmanaged host to at least point you in the right direction.

If what you say is really the best they can advise, then you should fix the problem then find a different host.

We don't provide server support and there's a million things that could cause a site not to respond. Probably the simplest starting point might be rebooting the server, if you can get into it at all. Beyond that look at the server logs and see if you can establish what's going on.
