Homepage stopped showing up in Google

    Hello,

    vBulletin® Version 3.8.7

Let me start by saying I've changed nothing. The only thing I've done in months is ban people (99% spammers) and validate a couple of linkbacks. Nothing else.

Up until a few weeks ago, things were flyin'...getting in and out of subforums with no problems. Then suddenly, clicking the homepage (www.politicalwrinkles.com) had a pause to it...Just a few seconds, but it was a burp nonetheless. Like the forum server had to think about it first. Also, getting into some forums is nice and smooth, but others have that same burp. I don't notice any patterns; Seems random. A reboot didn't help.

Although I haven't seen it (yet!), a member stated that she kept "getting internal server error pages, then click back on the forum and it comes back."...I asked her to send me a screenshot, but haven't received it yet.

Now here's the kicker. I don't have a link to my site at work, so I simply googled "Political Wrinkles" (like I've done a gazillion times before), and the subforums show up but NOT the homepage! It's been always there for years.

I'm 99% sure the latency and the disappearance of my homepage on Google are related, but I can't think of "why" for the life of me. Any ideas?

vBulletin has absolutely no control over what shows up in Google.

I understand that...But even if there's no relation to Google, there's still the issue of random lag...

This would be a server issue. You should ask your hosts about it. Nothing really happens "suddenly", so it's likely that some change was made on the server.
If there are internal server error pages, then these should be investigated by looking in the server logs for the time the error was encountered.
